In 2015, Lone Star Infusion became the first ketamine clinic in Houston, TX. Lone Star Infusion was developed to help people who are suffering from severe mood disorders and neuropathic pain. At the time, there was no option in the Houston area to pursue ketamine assisted therapies outside of occasional and limited academic studies.
Since 2015, Lone Star Infusion has performed thousands of infusions — refining the practice for the benefit of its patients from the Houston area and from around the United States. The practice is extremely proud of its work; patients say their ketamine therapy treatments have allowed them to recover from severe depression, get back to work, resolve their crippling post-traumatic stress disorder, keep pain at bay, and overall, see some light in the darkness.
Providers of these services have increased rapidly in Houston and nationwide. Our team are leaders in the field, adding to research and incorporating the latest findings for the best treatment possible. Lone Star Infusion is committed to supporting individuals dealing with mental illness and providing as much assistance as possible. The National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) has similar goals. Lone Star Infusion is pleased to partner with and support efforts toward the goal. Lone Star Infusion is participating in the NAMI fundraising walk on May 17th. We will have a team walking to raise mental illness awareness and education on the benefits of ketamine.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
Did you know that 46% of Americans have some form of mental illness and are unaware or in denial? Mental illness refers to biologically based medical disorders of the brain. NAMI is a national organization of people who understand and support those affected. Without treatment, mental illness can severely impact daily life — and it can affect anyone.
NAMI's mission is to advocate, educate, support, and raise awareness. Their vision: help individuals with mental illness recover and thrive. This includes access to healthcare, housing, education, and employment at all levels.
Education Programs
NAMI Greater Houston offers classes for families, friends, and peers — in English and Spanish, online or in person, for all ages. Topics range from emotional response to mental illness to understanding conditions like:
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
- Major Depression
- Bipolar Disorder
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Childhood Schizophrenia
- Substance Abuse Disorders
Support
NAMI offers peer-led support groups, a safe space to share experiences and learn coping strategies. Their motto: “Find Help… Find Hope.”
